June 11th 2008 - Hello everyone...
The plans for the proposed improvements in Daniels Park are proceeding as planned. I am sending this notice to you so that you will be aware of a road closure that will begin on June 16, 2008, and could last for up to 5 weeks.
The closure is on Olde Happy Canyon Road, also known as Castle Pines Parkway from Buffalo Trail west to Daniels Park Road, and then south on Daniels Park Road to the existing end of pavement.
This closure will be done to facilitate work being done by Xcel Energy, for the purpose of relocating existing gas lines.
A second closure will occur later in the year in Aug. or Sept. for the purpose of grading and constructing the new road. Local access will still be available during construction, however, through trips will not be possible. You will be notified again at that time.
Please call me if you have any question or concern. Also notified are the Douglas County Schools, Douglas County Sheriff, and South Metro Fire District.
